Foam "joke" ended up in hospital!

Mönchengladbach - "Save, delete, hide, protect" - that is the motto of all the fire departments. So that they can do that, the rescuers must be trained. It is now allowed participants in a training exercise in Mönchengladbach fire a bad joke. They sent comrades through a foam wall in which they were almost suffocated.
The "prankster" is an exercise tube in a flooded basement with fire extinguishing foam, which is normally used to smother the fire. Four of their comrades were nearly swallowed the foam and choked.
The four young members had to fire one night to the hospital from which they were then released again. Nevertheless, the police were involved: a suspicion of assault!
The climbing tubes full of foam did not belong to Übungssprogramm. The trainers were supposedly with nothing. Without a respirator, but were at full protective breathing equipment on our backs, the four contenders crawled through the tube, thought it probably was all so true. Coughing and gasping for breath, they climbed out again.
City spokesman Dirk Ruetten: "The four fire brigade members stayed one night in a hospital, were then dismissed. The incident was reported to the police. The cause has received a written warning. "
Only a warning? To the head of a brigade of a big city: "This was not a joke, but unprincipled and dangerous! Such people have nothing to look at us. I would have them thrown out of the octagon from fire. "
The foam can be inhaled to health. Concentrated foam is greatly diluted by the fire department in the use. It contains plasticizers, called surfactants, such as those found in soaps and detergents. Foam is often used in hazardous or engine fires, to prevent a "foam carpet flames or suffocated.
